Kathmandu and Nagarkot Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Kathmandu Arrival. Transfer to hotel, welcome drinks and check-in. Evening: free to explore the markets around on your own.
Day 2
After having breakfast start half day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley.

Destinations we cover:

Pashupatinath Temple: Nepal’s most important Hindu temple stands on the banks of the holy Bagmati River, surrounded by a bustling market of religious stalls selling marigolds, prasad (offerings), incense, rudraksha beads, conch shells, pictures of Hindu deities and temples, tika powder in rainbow colours, glass lingams, models of Mt Meru and other essential pilgrim paraphernalia.

Boudhanath Stupa: The structure of the building consists of a giant dome, on the top which sits a Buddhist pyramid tower. All of this sits on top of huge steps shaped like mandalas themselves. Originally the stupa’s spot was on an important trade route which allowed for a steady stream of possible converts. Among the Nepalese in Kathmandu, the stupa is simply referred to as “Chorten Chenpo” which translates to “Great Tower” or just “Great Stupa.” No matter what pilgrims called it, they flocked to the monument in droves.

Patan Durbar Square: The ancient royal palace of Patan faces on to magnificent Durbar Sq. This concentrated mass of temples is perhaps the most visually stunning display of Newari architecture to be seen in Nepal. Temple construction in the square went into overdrive during the Malla period (14th to 18th centuries), particularly during the reign of King Siddhinarsingh Malla (1619–60). It's well worth at least a half-day trip from Kathmandu.

Afternoon: Drive from Kathmandu to Nagarkot

Upon arrival, check in at hotel. Enjoy the views of Sunset and hike around.
Day 3
Nagarkot has a reputation as the top spot for enjoying Himalayan views from the comfort of your hotel balcony. Just 32km from Kathmandu, the village is packed with hotels lining a ridge, affording one of the broadest possible views of the Himalaya, with eight ranges visible (Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Jugal, Rolwaling, Everest and Numbur).

Breakfast, Drive back to Kathmandu.

En-route visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square: Bhaktapur is an ancient Newar city located in the east corner of the Kathmandu Valley, approximately 13 km (8 miles) from the Kathmandu City. There is also a rich concentration of culture and tradition among the Newars of Bhaktapur as Bhaktapur is a place where we can see the glory of Newari Community. Most probably this place is the only place whose two specific places are enlisted in the site of UNESCO world heritage site. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is located in frontal part of ancient Bhaktapur royal palace. It consists of four distinct squares which includes Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square and Pottery Square sequentially. The major attractions of this square are 55 window palace, vatsala temple, statue of Bhupatindra malla, Nyatapola temple, Bhairavnath temple, Golden gate, lions gate, Mini Pashupati temple, inclusive of many other temples as well.

Evening: Free for shopping on your own.
Day 4
End of your Scenic Nepal Tour. After breakfast, drive to Kathmandu Airport. It’s time to say good bye to all new friends you have made and take warm memories of your trip.
